The market opened 1/8 of a cent lower for all deliveries as-com- pared with Monday's closing rates.

Quiet conditions prevalled early in the morning. Fair enquiries for "spot" Rubber by consuming countries failed to stimulate specula- tive buying interest to any larger extent, and such business as was transacted, was chiefly attributed to trade-accounts.

Later in the session prices registered a slight decline of 1/8 cent for all deliveries due to some liquidation.

However, during the last trading hour the market recovered this slight set-back, closing with a steady undertone.
