BUDAPEST, JANUARY 6 (TRANSOCEAN).—CZECHOSLOVAK REGULAR TROOPS AND UKRAI VLAN IRREGULARS attacked the Hungarian frontier town of Munkasz early on. Friday morning, ac-.. cording to an official statement issued here at noon. It will be re- called that Munkaez was ceded by Czechoslovakia to. Kungary last year conformably with the Vienn arbitration award. A statement issued here "affirms that the attak began at, 3.45 o'clock on Friday morning and that Czechoslovak tops and Ukrainian irregulars re- mained on Hungarian soll till 10 o'clock.
According to another offici il statement the Hungarian Gov- ernment immediately informed the German and Italian Ministers of the incident while at the same time lodging a vigorous protest in Prague in which the Hungdrian Government "declined all responsi- bility for confiets which might arise in connection with these events."
