CHUNGKING, Jan. 1 (Intl) - Chinese tung cil (wood oil) ex- ports will be ample security for the American credit loan of U.S. $25.000,000, states the Trade Readjustment Commis sion of the Ministry of Fin-
ance.
According to statistics complled by the Commission, the annual 217-1/4 production of tung oll in China is about 70,000 tons. distributed as follows:-28,000 tors in Szechuen: 21,000 tons in Kwangsi: 10,000 tons in western Hunan and in the Che- klang-Anhwel-Klangst border re- 14-15/10 tons; 12,000 toris in western and northern Hupeh; Kwelchow and Shenst; 8.000 tons in Kwangtung and Yunnan.

After the New Year Holidays the market opened 1/8 of a cent lower for all deliveries as compared with. Friday's closing quotations.
The market ruled quiet, however, later in the session fals en-
quiries for "actual" influenced some buying interest in futures for Trade accounts, but speculative activity remained at a low ebb,
Closing tone was quiet and dull.
In well informed quarters the opinion prevails that higher prices may be confidently expected due to the very sound and healthy statistical position of Rubber, anless the market will be affected by cutside influences such as further weakness of Sterling, political events etc. Conservative accumulation at around present price-levels would, therefore, be indicated.
