The bridegroom who is well- known in Singapore yachting cir cles, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Brown of South Africa. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. Stanfield, of Hongkong.
Mrs. Shaw who was given away by Mrs. Joy Armstrong, of Singa- pore, wore a flowing pleated purple dress, and crimson belt with com- plete pale grey accessories.

Throne Had To Be Moved
The Throne of England Was moved on December 14- the King's forty - third birthday- so that Princess Elizabeth. Prin- cess Margaret Rose and 100 little guests at their Christmas party could enjoy-a puppet show in the Throne Room.
The children's párty was one of the few occasions when the King and Queen took a back seat-they sut several rows back so that the little guests could see the show better.
For forty minutes the audience, which beside the Princesses, and the children of the Duke and Luchess of Kent, included more' than 100 grown-ups. laughed at
the tiny marionettes.
"Nannies" and guardians sat by, royalty, enjoyed "match- ing the Victorian lady and the three soldiers dancing the polka, the grass-hüppers*
dance, and three court scenes with Bill the Bos'n. Even the royal ushers laughed.
