Determined batting by their middle batsmen and two tail-enders saved the Army from an innings defeat in their Triangular Tourna- ment match against Hongkong Cricket Club, which ended yesterday. but none the less they suffered a crushing defeat, losing by ten wickets.

At the end of the first day's play on Monday the Club' had.com- plled the big total of 293 and had dismissed seven of their opponents for only 88 runs.
