The centenary of the arst -suction of tea produced within the Empire falls on January 10, 1939. The Empire Tea Cen- tenary Committee held a fun- cheon at the Savoy Hotel London, on December 15, at which a tea cocktail was served as a prelude. Tea was served at the end of the luncheon.
