The cruiser Frobisher, at present In dockyard hands at Devonport, is to be used

non-seagoing training ship for naval cadets at Portsmouth in place of the moni- tor Erebus. She will be towed to Portsmouth to arrive not later than January 4. During the past two years the Erebus has combin- ed this duty with that of turret drillship.

WEAKING OF HELMETS

In a list of minor amendments to the Uniform Regulations for Officers of the Fleet it is announc- ed that the helmet is always to be worn with white full dress. The senior officer may order it to be worn with any dress should it be more suitable to the occasion. It is also to be worn with any tress when necessary on account of ex- Abroad,posure to the sun. Another amend- ment provides that gloves are not, to be worn with white undress,
