The market opened 1/8 of a cent lower for all deliveries as com- pared with Monday's closing quotations,
In sympathy with quiet conditions prevailing in London and New York the market displayed a dull undertone after the opening. Only moderate demand for "actuals" was in evidence and due to lack of support from London and New York buying interest for Trade and speculative accounts was insigniäcant.
Later in the session prices registered a gradual decline of 1/4 cent for all deliveries due to some Equidation of tired longs, the market 'closing with a slightly easier undercone.

Prices advanced on better Liverpool cables and on Trade buying and covering, together with a moderate amount of foreign buying. Decreased offerings are leaving the market with comparatively few, contracts. It is believed that the recent decline increased the move- meat of cotton to the Loan, while liquidation has strengthened the technical position of the market.

After hesitancy, prices steadled up on the improvement on Wall Street and on buying accredited to Japanese interests. Commission- houses and factory interests were active in the latter part of the ses- sion and a good business in "actuals" was reported.
CHICAGO WHEẤT
There are indication of an improved milling demand, while es- timates of a reduction in the Winter wheat acreage gave a further feel- ing of steadiness. The pronounced shortage of moisture in the Bouth- West and the better tone of the Liverpool market were also helpful factors. Winnipeg reports a fair volume of foreign demand för Cana- dian wheat.
