4 teaspoons Royal Baking Powder
1 teaspoon salt
4 tablespoons butter
BISCUITS
1⁄4 cup milk, or part
milk and part water.
2 bananaa
juice of 1 lemon
2 tablespoons sugar
Sift together flour, baking powder and salt; add but. ter and mix in thoroughly with fork. Add milk to make soft dough. Turn out on floured board and toss lightly until outside looks smooth. Roll out 1⁄2-inch thick. Cut with floured biscuit cutter. Place on greased pan. Cut bananas în 1⁄4-inch thick slices; roll them in lemon juice and sugar. Press one slice of banana on top of each biscuit. Bake in hot oven about 20 minutes, or until banana is browned. Makes 16 two-inch biscuits.
