The American Girls, under the banner of Columbia Pictures and Hollywood Starlettes and the leadership of Manager Fiedler, arrived early yesterday mo.ning by the as. Scharnhorst when they were wel- comed by officials of the local softball league. The party, comprised of 32 members, were entertained at the Ying Klig Restaurant at tiffin when Mr. Souibard, U.S. Consul-Ge seral and Mr. L. R. Ildefonso, Pre- sident of the Hongkong Softball League, made belef speeches of welcome.

After Chinese chow, the party proceeded to Caroline fil where Mr. Southard pitched the first ball; at 3.30 p.m., in the game in which Columbia Pictures clashed with the All Chinese.
