Helena May Pantomime

NEW PRODUCTION OF

THREE BEARS”

At the request of the Council of the Helena May Institute, Mrs. O, C. Womack has pro- mised to revive her little Pantomime "The Three Bears” this Christmas. Produced In 1932, "The Three Bears" was actually Hongkong's very first. pantomime and was rather in the nature of an experiment. Much to the author's surprise. Hongkong children flocked to see it, and gave the show such a fer- vant reception that it was follow- ed up with a second pantomime for children in 1933, "The Queen of Hearts," which played for three days to packed houses.

Kowloon fallowed with the Arst Y.M.C.A. Pantomime: a well-staged show or a more sophisticated type calculated to appeal to the "grown- ups." Since then, these perform- ances have been an annual affair. REHEARSALS PROCEEDING
