How a Chinese bugler, a youth of 23. refused to surrender when captured, and how his unlinching courage and loyalty to his country troused the admiration of the Javanese and was granted a last wishi before he was put to death was rated by Hirobara Hamamoto. a well-known Japanese writer, in a recent issue of the "Osaka Maini- thi." according to "Central News."

Hamamoto was one of the Japanese authors of note who were reently Invlled by the Japanese General Staff to pay a visit to the Yangtze freak during the Japanese drive up the river to Hankaw.
