The Fantasia on Popular Songs to Our Lady, composed and played by Father Riganti, was interesting and inspirational.

To end the recital. the Choir performed Castellf's Ave Maria. and did that exceedingly' well.

On Monday, Greta Scull broad- cast in a pianoforte recital from the studio. Her programme con- sisted of Prelude and Fugue in C. Major (Bach), Rhapsody in G minor (Brahms). Intermezzo in C. Major (Brahms), Impromptu in A Flat Major (Chopin), Dance in the twilight (Roger Quilter). It was a fne recital, but somehow a little cold.

Eva Turner Was beard on Wednesday night in a recital with A. T. Lay. She was excellent in the Five Miniature Ballads by Huristone.

The ZB.W. Orchestra, which ca not perform the previous week, did so last week. We suggest that it is time the Orchestra should be featured with some singer.

The Mass consists of seven movements, the text being freely selected from the Bible and the Apocrypha

The first, 'Blest are they that mourn, and the fourth, "How love- ly are thy dwellings, were the two best movements sung by the choir, The two baritone solos, takeri-by: Mr. G. H. Eva Turner capably took the soprano solo, the only one in the whole Massy being thearth movemetit, "To who now SOLTOW,"

Prior to the Mass, the Bingers performed. For the Fallen by Bir Edward Elgar. We find a distinét difference in this number this year. There was no orchestra. We Mink the organ accompaniment throughout the whole recitat a dis-
