At the Criminal Sessions yesterday Mr. Justice E. H. Williams, Acting Chief Justice, sentenced three Chinese, one of whom was a pollce constable in the Hongkong Police Force, to terms of impri- sonment totalling nine and a half years' hard labour, when they appeared on charxes of unlawful possession of 21300 heroin pills.
The accused were:-Chan Chik, 28, Li Ming, 32, and Yip Kam Pul. 32, the last named being a member of the Pollee Force.

THE COLONY OF HONGKONG including the Island, Kowloon and the New Territories during the week ending at 8 a.m. on Satur- day, the 15th instant, there were, altogether 89 traffic accidents, as the result of which two persons were killed and 47 persons were injured.
