The Double Tenth

ON MONDAY, THE DOUBLE TENTE, the National Festival of the Chinese Republic, the usual celebration will take place in the Catholic Cathedral at 5 pm. A sermon will be preached in Chinese, and it will be followed by Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament, with the sing- ing of the Te Deum, in thanksgiving for all the graces of the past year. During war time naturally the, ceremony takes on the special character of prayer for the needs of China. The war will be in everyone's minds on the National Festival and all will certainly pray that peace may be restored to the country; during the coming year.
