Troops At Formosa

Shanghai, October 5.

LARGE BODIES OF JAPANESE TROOPS have been noticed being transported during the past few weeks from both Shanghal and Tsingtao, it is understood, according to usdally reliable sources, to be concentrated at Formosa.

"Troop movements have unmistakably been noticed and since the troops have not come north, nor gone up the Yangtze, nor to Japan, all indications are that they have landed at Formosa," one highly placed foreign naval official informed Reuter.

It is further indicated, according to usually reliable foreign ex-. perts in close touch with naval and military affairs, that an invasion of South China is planned but nothing concrete has yet developed.---. Reuter.
