Syndicate Now Studying Conditions In Colony
Although it would not be correct to say that there was a rush of removals of factories of all descriptions from Shanghai to Hongkong. the "Daily Press” learned on good authority yesterday that there had in fact been a number of such transfers recently.
"From my information there are a number of factories which have come down to establish branch plants in Hongkong and Kow- loon," a representative of this paper was told by one of the Colony's leading Chinese business men, whose reason for not wishing to be quoted was because he was still gathering data and was not yet in " a position to offer a full authoritative survey.
