The Inner Cabinet, consisting of the Prime Minister, Mr. Neville John Simon. Chamberlain, Lord Halifax, Foreign Secretary. Sir Chancellor of the Exchequer. and Sir Samuel Hoare, Home Secre- tary, met at No. 10 Downing Street at 3.35 p.m. yesterday.
Afterwards, the full Cabinet met, at which Mr. Chamberlain gave an exhaustive report of his Godesberg conversations with Herr Hit- ler.
The plenary session ended at 7.35 p... but Sir Klugsley Wood. Air Minister, remained in conference with the Prime Minister till past 8 p.m.
