Beautiful Dresses Worn By Chinese Ladies At Course

„(By ROSETTE)

Brilliance of sunshine WES only occasional, but brilliance achieved by the variety and hue of the ladies' dresses was ever-pre- sent, at Happy Valley on Saturday when the racing season re-opened with the Seventh Extra meeting.

BEAUTIFUL DRESS

Miss Lee Ya-ching, the aviatrix, who is due to leave the Colony to- day, seized the opportunity to bring at least one fresh memory of the Race Course away with her. Hers was one of the most beautiful dresses on view. Made of pale blue silk volle, it had pink and blue buttons and white ac- cessories to match.

Miss "Babe" Harrison, popular Shanghai socialite. was in plain yellow linen suit which enhanced her brunette charm. Mr. "Willie" Hung, solicitor and prominent all- round sportsman, was frequently with her.

Mrs. Frank Grose was in printed frock, with bag to match. Her sister Kathleen was in green silk with accessories. They had many friends with them constant- 13.

Miss Dora Chow was seen with Mr. "Bobby" Wade, Shanghai jockey. She sported a frock of
