UNEMPLOYED GREASER ON MURDER CHARGE

Li Man, allas Li Wai-man, aged 43, an unemployed greaser, was charged with murder before Mr. Edwards at the Central Court yes- terday.

Li was originally charged with causing grievous bodily harm with Intent to malm; disfigure or disable Pun Shing at the premises of the Luen. Hing Seamen's Boarding House on September 4.

Defendant is alleged to have stabbed Pun which the latter was asleep, as a result of which Puh was sent to the Queen Mary Hospitul in a serious condition. He died at 9.45 am. on Thursday.

Kichan, Rupeh, September 9. The Chinese position on the north bank of the Yangtse River is said to have improved noticeably, after the re-capture of Kwangtal, important town in east Hupeh, last night.
