Central Court Inquest

Circumstances surrounding the death of a fireman, named Mo Ping, of the Central Fire Brigade Station, at "the conclusion of an alarm practice, were probed yesterday at the Central Court, when an Inquest was held.

HANKOW JOURNALISTS CONGRATULATE SOLDIERS

Hankow, September 2.

The dispatch of a telegram to Generalissizio Chiang Kai-shek and the soldiers fighing on the Yangtse front congratulating them on their victory at Julching was decided upon at a meeling of Chi- nese newspapermen here yesterday on the occasion of Journalists' Day.

The meeting also decided to send telegrams to newspaper circles in various countries asking them to influence public opinion in favour or China and to prevail upon their respective governments to check Japan's frightful methods of war.(Central News).
