Future Of Palestine
Crown Colony As Solution?
It is true to say about Palestine, that the policy of partition is re- pugnant to Jew and Arab. But it is not true to say that it is the only policy which offers an escape from the present · situation, writes Home correspondent.
There is another solution-that! Palestion should be converted into la Crown Colony, as was suggested] to the Peel Commission by the Palestine. Crown Colony Associa
tion.
The adoption of that proposal has a number of advantages which are not available in the partition or any alternative scheme' propos- Goldenied, such as cantons. These ad-
vantages include:

connection. It should be noted that the aim of Zionism was not the creation of a Jewish) state" but to contribute to the solution of the Jewish problem

Flaming Torch Over Canada
Fasciats in Canada have united themselves "in a new Dominion-wide organisation to bo 'known .13 the National Unity Party of Canada.
The party was formed at a na- tional convention at which & Mon- treal newspaper editor, Mr. Adrien Arcand, was unanimously chosen National leader. Mr. Joseph C. Farr, leader of fascists in Ontario, "was named national organiser.
Mr. Arcand has issued a mani- festo declaring that the National Unity Party intends to set up a corporate" state and has amplified this by stating that his party in- tends to achieve its aims by con stitutional means and will even- tually seek a majority of House of Commons seats. »
At their first mass meeting in Toronto, Mr. Arcand told his followers that their party was "the most unwanted childs in the history of Canadian poli- fics." He constantly referred to them All is nationalists” rather than "fascists."
The swastika emblem of the various Fascist groups which have merged into the National Unity Party has been replaced by the flaming torch, he said, "because our enemies call us Nazis."
The new party leader maintain- ed that the party" stood for loyalty to King, country and Christianity. He shouted that their slogan would be "Canada for Canadians!"
LOVE UNDER
FIRE
"Love Under Fire," which opens at the Alhambra Theatre today, stars the beautiful Loretta Young and the dashing Don Ameche in a rapid moving, tale of romance, intrigue and mad adventure.
Loretta is seen as a girl fleeing from a crime she has never com- mitted. Pursuing her amid the terror's and uncertainties of war. Don Ameche, as a representative of Scotland Yard, becomes enamour- ed.
The picture presents the famous Borrah Minevitch harmonica band. The ex-newsboy musician and his players have already. appeared with great success in "One and a Million." and their re- turn is pleasant news for fans.
