Sanguinary fighting continues on both banks of the Yangtse. according to a Chinese military communique.
The Japanese were repulsed in attacks on Chinese positions two miles to the west of Juichang and also on the Klukiang-Nanchang railway to the south of Kinklang.
The communique asserts that in the Jalchang sector the Jap- anese suffered two to three thousand casualties while on the rail- way they left behind large quantities of ammunition and thirty dead.
