HONG KONG HELPS
HONG KONG, AUGUST, 28th 1938-

There are a number of other societies, it is true, but membership of those are purely Chinese though the work done is by no means less important. But It must have been gratifying, to the Chinese community to see on Saturday so many members of the foreign communities taking such an active part in the sale of flags.
While on the subject of war relief work in Hong Kong it will be interesting to take stock of what is being done throughout China to help the thousands upon thousands of people rendered homeless by the indiscriminate bombing, shelling and machine-gunning by the Japanese soldiers who have no business at all on Chinese soll.
