SIMIAN SAVAGERY
[To the Editor of the Hong Kong Daily Press)
Str. The news about the C.N.A.C. plane seems unbelievable and I am wondering how much longer these simian savages will be allowed to carry with their ruthlessr.ess and violations of international law.

CHINESE WOMEN | URGED TO LEAD SIMPLE LIVES
NATIONAL RELIEF
ASSOCIATION HEARS APPEAL
That Chinese women and girls should adapt themselves
economical and to
madest living. was mentioned by Madame Liao Chung-kai when the National Women's Relief Association held its "first an- niversary meeting at the re- sidence of Mr. E Tong-sen. " Repulse Bay, yesterday,
I suppose they will apologise pay compensation. thereby satisfying the U.S.A.. exactly as Happened in the case of the Panay. And Big Business will go on sup plying war material, including cli.jand relief workers attended. to Japan as before."
The Nippon savages have suc ceeded in their object, which was the removal of Mr. Hsu Shal banker and counciller, and can afford to apologise now. But what concerns Hong Kong most of all, "are the ways and means by which the spy centre in Hong Kong sends out its information to the Jap ships in the Delta.
In this case there is no doubt that the Japs, at Tokawan had been informed of the departure of the ill-fated plane and it was easy to intercept the maching in the region of Shekki.
There have been bombings. of certain objects around Canton and here, which were doubtlessly due to information sent out from Hong Kong by wireless. Enclosing my card. I am, Yours sincerely...

After days of fighting, a lull has set in on the west shore of Poyang Lake.
Except a Japanese attempt to land several hun- dred troops at Kiushihtaun near Bingtze, which was frustrated by the Chinese, there was practically no fighting there yesterday. Positions of both sides remain unchanged with the Chinese guarding the hills west and southwest of Bingize.
Fierce fighting is still raging on the banks of Chihu Lake. The Hils"cart"of Jülichang sré réported. to have changed hands many times (Central
