Action On
Entire Front From East Hopei To Hangchow
Ineffective Japanese Occupation Of Territory
THE JAPANESE RIGH COMMAND HAVE CONCENTRATED their forces for the advance on Wuhan on both the eastern and western shores of the Poyang Lake. Opposing their advance are the Chinese regular armies. But in their rear is a mighty organisation, the guerillas. The co-operation of these two forces are already dictating that the Japanese Command must obtain more reinforcements before they can hope for progress towards their objectives.
Since the inauguration of guerilla tactics, nearly six months ago, the different units have been unified under one command. They are gulded by a united staff. And there is concerted and co-ordinated action on the entire front from East Hopel, Peiping. Tientsin. Shan- tung and Shanghal to Hangchow. Within the Japanese controlled territory in Chahar, Sulyuan, Jehol, there are centrally controlled guerilla units in operation.
The Japanese have captured "The Girl of the Golden West-itles and towns. But the territory surrounding those towns is over- tun with guerilla units. If China continues.to improve her organisa- tion and intensify the discipline governing the movements of these guerilla units, she will be able to hold the Japanese like mice in a bug.

China must be proud of her guerilla armies for their daring and bravery. Those in the pro- vinces of Klangsu, Chekiang. SOLUTION ON MONDAY
PEOPLE TERRORISED Rascals and traitors abound and honest people are terrorised. The result is that the Chinese youth of the localities band themselves to- gether. They rise up in arms and become guerillas.
East Hopel supplies a good example of the futility of the hope that the Japanese warlords can control China by force. The popu- lation of East Hopel have been under the control of the Japanese since the year 1935 when Yin Yu Keng was established, as their puppet.
Today the guerilla units of East Hopel are among the most daring, They hate the Japanese and their puppets. and many a Japanese appoint- ed magistrate has lost his head when the guerillas capture a district. The entire population of East Hopel welcome the zuerillas.
The Japanese themselves are the strongest advocates for the creation of guerilla units against them. And the more they ad- vance the greater will be the num bers of guerillas which will oppose them So not only the Chinese armies around Wuhan are defend- ing that city
The defence is being conducted by more than a million guerilla's fired by one ideal-defeat Japan.-- (Ta Kung Pao).
