China Campaign Committee Asking For Apology From Japanese Embassy

London, August 17. "

A letter has been addressed by Lord Listowel. President of the China Campaign Committee, to Lord Halifax, Foreign Secretary, asking the latter to secure an apology either from Mr. Shigeru Yo- shida, Japanese Ambassador, or Major Takahashi, the Assistant Militacy Attache, for the incident out- side the Japanese Embassy.

Major Takahashi, it will be recalled, snatched and tore a booklet from Miss Sheridan-Jones, Assistant Organising Secretary of the Committee, during a protest march on Sunday.
