Business has been on a desultory scale in a dull market. Any shares offering are taken at quotation but buyers fail to display initiative.

As the result of the wat closing down Shangbai as a transhipping point this trade has suffered much. Now Hong Kong la'the only outlet.

The market opened with prices unchanged fur all deliveries as compared with Friday's closing rates.

The market displayed a quiet and dull undertone during the session. The encouraging action of the New York Rubber market failed to stimulate buying interest for trade and speculative ac

Prices gradually declined throughout the day on quidation due to unsettled foreign politieal developments and evidences of a tapering-off of interest on the part of buyers. The firm position of corn-futures was a helpful factor and caused a temporary,, Hold-up. of the slow decline, but the market again reacted downward on professional offerings prior to the close.
