THE CHINESE COUNTER-OFFENSIVE HAS SUCCEEDED in cut- ting Japanese communications between Hukow and Pengiseh, accord- Ing to the latest military advices. Copenhagen, July 30, The International Congress' 'of League of Nations - Sacieties, now meeting here, has passed a resolu- tion exhorting member states of the League to consider what mea- sures should be taken to observe the obligations of the League Covenant and accomplish the end | of war in China.

The Congress also urged in creased efforts towards stopping purchases of Japanese products.
