MACAO RACE MEETING George Potts Memorial Cup Main Event For July Races

The Macao Jockey Club are holding their final race meeting of the first half of the year tomorrow, and this will be the last oc- casion, until September, for punters to indulge in their favourite sport. With the holidays over the week-end there should be a large crowd taking advantage of the break to visit the Portuguese Colony and is anticipated that the attendance will be greater than usuaj. “

The programme consists of seven events including the usual Ladies Sprint. The main race will be the George Potts Memorial Cup, atting remembrance of the late Chairman of the Club, who did so much to popularise racing "in Macao. The event is open to subscrip- thon ponies of the Macao Jockey Club and has attracted a good number of entries. A special $1 Cash Sweep is being conducted in connection with this race and from reports, received, the sales have been very brisk.
