WILKINS GIVES UP

After six months of fruitless search in the Arctic for the six Soviet trans-Polar fliers, lost since August of last year. Sir Hubert Wilkins has given up hope of finding the missing men.

The search may be continued by Russian diers from the Siberian side of the Polar regions.

"If they landed on the ice," he continued. "the drift would by now have carried them over to the Russian side of the Arctic."

More than 23,000 miles were covered in the search during which Six Habert was assisted by the aviator. Hubert dollick- British
