NO SUBSTITUTE FOR BARNES

AUSTRALIAN BOARD VETOS BRADMAN'S REQUEST

THE TAIPA HANDICAP. Here again we have an evenly balanced field of Hong Kong ponies. An excellent long shot here is Tribute. This iron grey is moody and seems to have objection to certain parts of our local course but at Macao, with entirely dif ferent surroundings he may dediče to give of the best and is therefore quite capable of securing the pre- 1-mier honours, stymie is in good condition and will be the main danger. Wenning ran quite credit ably at the last Macao meetlag and given a good jockey will Le near. Emergency Call and Latitat Rre not entirely out of it. especial- ly the latter, as this chestnut was Japan a good sprinter when fast raced in Hong Kong some time ago. ›
