semi-final match at the Cricket Club ground yesterday.

EARLY SUPREMACY
The first double day mesting of the year commences on Satur- day when the Hong Kong Jockey Club stage their Third Extra Race Meeting. The programme consists of ten events, each day, the first saddling bell being rung at noon and the opening event starting at 1230 pm. After the second, race on "both days there will be a tifin interval. Weather conditions, are ideal and with the hollday spirit prevalling the attendance should be on the large side, The main event on the first day will be the St. George's Plate over 1-1/4 Miles, This race is confined to grifilns of the year with ponles classified “A” cinss barred. This condition prohibited the entry of Sukylight and Desert Chief but even with these two stalwarts absent there are only five entries, which is a trifle dis appointing. On Monday the principal event, the Easter Stakes, is to be run prer one mile, with Silkylight as the probable favourlic. In this article I will cover the prospects for the first day's racing.
