Customs Collection Bears Mute Testimony To Mad Japanese Diabolism

BY J. PRETTEJOHN

FRAGMENTS of Japanese shells and bomba have travelled hun- dreds of miles and landed in Hong Kong. They were brought here by the Chinese Maritime Customs authorities and аге now treasured as war relics.

The fragments are grouped and kept in separate small boxes amongst the many bookshelves in the office. Ubrary. A brief ac- count is pinned beside them, explaining the "circumstances under which they were found.

To take no chances of their being lost, the boxes are nailed with only a pane of glass on one side for inspection.
