Allegation That Accused Men Feared Deceased Would Give Them Away To The Police

THE CENTRAI, MAGISTRACY WAS PACKED to capacity with listeners yesterday afternoon when Mr. E. H. Williams, Assistant Attorney General. Sutlined the case for the Crown against three men accused of the murder of two brothers, Huen Kon-hing and Huen Kon-wang. The defendants were Lau Kwong, aged 22. Leung Kam- kt, 22, and Lo Chung-hing.
MR. WILLIAMS DISCLOSED. in the course of his open- ing. that it was alleged that the accused were members of a gang, which included the deceased men, and who car- ried on nefarious activities in the Colony making their headquarters in caves on the hillside overlooking Bay View, at Causeway Bay.
IT WAS FURTHER ALLEGED THAT as a result of a dispute be- tween the deceased and the defendant's, and awing to the fact that the latter feared that the Huen brothers would give them away to the police, the defendants shot and killed the elder brother, luen Kon-hing, and critically wounded Huen Kon-wang. The latter, how- ever, succumbed to his injuries in the Queen Mary Hospital.
