Shangha!, March 28 The American Consul-Gen- eral has broadcast an in- formative warning to Ameri- can missionartes remaining in Yihsien and Lingyi east of the Tientsin-Pukow Railway where fighting is raging at present, to the effect that he was in- formed that the Japanese con- sidered their mission property was being used by the Chinese for war purposes.

The warning added that the Consul-Genera! had been given to understand that if this practice contrived the Japan- es might be forced to take retaliatory action on the "mais- sion property.

According to latest reports there are four American mis- slonaries at Lingy and three at Ylhsien.(Reuter).
