ROYAL WEST KENT REGIMENT

The 1st Battalion, The Queen's Royal West Kent Regiment, which recently returned to England and took up quarters at Shorncliffe Camp after 18 years' foreign ser- vice. is, to receive new Colours in May.

D.S.O., M.C., at a reunion of the Shorncliffe and district branch of the regiment's Past and Present Association, said he had a letter Irom the Duke of Kent's secretary stating that the Duke would visit Shorncliffe on May 17 to inspect the battalion and present new Colours to it. He (Lieut.-Colonel Anstruther suggested that at the regimental reunion on July 17 they might be able to lay up the old Colours at All Saints Church, Maidstone.
