PROSPECTS POINT TO

PERFECT PLAY-OFF Tomorrow's Match Should See Tense Finish To Season

By New L.B.W.

Tomorrow, weather permitting, the big match will be played, to provide a fitting finale to the leafue season, and, I for one, hope it will be a really decisive one and not, as last year, when the H.K.C.C. met the Indians, a draw.

The Indians should have won last year against the Club, when they started the game with no more than an even chance, if not with

NINE HANDICAP EVENTS: FINE SPORT PROMISED

By Last Quarter"-"

The Second Extra Race Meeting of the Hong Kong Jockey Club which takes place tomorrow consists entirely of handicap events. As in the past, the differences in weight should produce keener competition and closer finishes; and with the present uncertainty regarding the weather one would not be surprised to see an upset or twe. Even should conditions improve the track will be on the soft side and quite cat-ap after the first few events. If the rain persists (though I solemnly hope it 'will not), the pubile should not forget the old favourites such as Bright View and Rose Evelyn, but to mention a couple who always seem to zive a good account of themselves when the going is sloppy.

Mr. L. B. Chao has returned North after a prolonged holiday in the Colony and I understand that Mr. Ip Kai Ying will take over the majority of his mounts. The recovery of Mr. & C. Llang from his recent indisposition will afford punters the opportunity of following one of their favourite

fold after quite a long absence.
