SQUADRON AT TRINIDAD Four cruisers of the America and West Indies Squadron met at Trinidad on March 3 in accordance with their winter programme, ar- ranged several months ago. The Exeter, Commodore's ship in the South American Division, was due t arrive from Bahia, Brazil, after cruising in South American waters since last summer.

The York, fagship of Vice- Admiral S. J. Meyrick. C.B, arrived from Grenada; the Apollo from Aruba, Dutch West Indies; and the Orton from Tobago. The squadron was expected to leave on March 7 fre Bermuda, where it was to mest the Ajax from England, after re- commissioning, when it will be at full strength. It is only once year that such a meeting as this takes place on the largest in area of the foreign stations.
