Stirring Address By Madame Chiang Kai-shek
The Child Welfare Committee sponsored by the National Chinese Women's Association for War Relief held its inaugural meeting at St. Lols School Hankow, recently, Several hundred persons including flity foreigners were present and the principal speaker on the occa- sion was Madame Chiang Kai-shek.
At the conclusion of the meeting Mrs. Hwang Chi-hslang announ- ced that the following persons have pledged themselves to take care of various numbers of war refuge children for a period of one year: Generalissimo and Madame Chlang undertook to support 200 children. General and Madame Feng Yu-hsiang, 100 children, Dr. and Madame H. H. Kung, 100 children, Dr. T. B. Soong 100 children, the staff members of alde-de-camps office of the Generalissimo 100 children and the staff members of the National Aviation Commission 100 children.
