AWAITING INSTRUCTION Interviewed upon arrival, Dr. Pod- gurski said that the mission would place itself at the disposal of the Chinese Red Cross authorities, and was willing to assist them in ad- viso y capacity. They were await- ing here further instructions, as to where, when and how they were to proceed.

Dr. Fedgarski said: "We will place ourselves without reserve at the disposal of the Chinese nation, and merely wish to be of as much service to those suffering as is possible."

It is learned that the equipment represents a value of £20,000. The doctors will stay in China for a period of f.om-four to six months. Their stay is, however, not limited. Dr. Podgurski and h's colleagues were greeted in Hong Kong by Dr. Ou-Yang, who had come specially from Canton. Dr. Pang, Secretary. General, Headquarters Chinese Red Cross, Hankow, was also on board, and it is learned that Dr. Chan Klen, of the Military Medical Academy. Canton, also arrived to bid the German doctors welcome,
