In the House of Commons, Mr. Lees Smith, proposing a Labour amendment condemning the prov.slon of immense armaments to further the dangerous foreign policy undertaken by the Government in defiance of election pledges, expressed the belief that the safety of the country and maintenance of peace conld only be attained through collective security under the League.
