Loyang, March 4.

The Chinese counter-offendive in north Honan where the ma- jority of the Japanese troops have been shifted to south Shansi has reaped tangible results. Both Stasiang, important junction of the Pelping-Hankow Railway and the Taokou-Chinghua Railway, and Weihwel, also on the railway are reported to have been recaptured by the Chinese forces in the afternoon of March 2.

The Chinese forces, which had crossed the Yellow River pressed toward Sinsiang and Weibwei via Wushe, whilst other units on the right flank of the railway' attacked the Japanese rear.
