BENEVOLENT SOCIETY'S YEAR'S USEFUL WORK

Relief Of Poor And Destitute Told In Annual Report

Generous contributions from many clubs, associations, firms and individuals have been received by the Hong Kong Benevolent Society durtür the past year and, despite the heavy commitments, the So- ciety finished 1937 with a balance large enough to carry along antil the 1958 Government Grant in late April on early May.

This healthy state of affairs is revealed in the 48th annual re- port of the Society which will be presented at the annual general meeting, to be held in Messrs. Jardine, Matheson's Board Room next Friday, at noon.
