HOW WILL DICK TARRANT SHAPE?
By Right-Half**
Despite the fact that there will be many counter attractions, ja bumper rate is expected at Carpline Blll this afternoon when the the local soccer field, Islington Corinthians make their debut on their opponents being the South China "Athletic Association.
While the Chinese have been preparing months ahead for this all-important fixture and ure re- ported to be playing at the top of their form. the visitors have bad rather bad luck in the way of in- juries "and it is uncertain what their anal line-out will be like.
One thing, however, appears to be certain. Pat Clark, their cap- tain, is still on the injured list and will not be able to play. That is a thousand pities. for since his arrival here but a few days ago,
Pat," as he is popularly known' among his team mates, has made himself extremely well-liked with everybody who has met him and
reports about his very clever play, local soccer tans, who have heard have been looking forward to see him in action.

"Bill" Takes Children Out!
By F. Mela
The Corinthians had a free day yesterday and most members of the party took the opportunity of going on sight-seeing tours their own, or shopping in town.
Bill Whittaker, the centre hal?, less decided to do something strenuous than football. He took "the nippers out for a walk!"
I came across Whittaker outside the King's Theatre with a child, holding on to each hand but he promptly denied any relationship! "They are a couple of young friends," he said, "and I thought It would be an excellent idea to take them out to see the place."
"Bill" is "looking forward to the game today and says he hopes it will be "nice and cold."
