The Islington Corinthians arrived in the Colony yesterday by the m.v. Aramis and were greeted on the wharf by a delegation from the South China Athletic Association, headed by Mr. Wang Ka- isun, officials from the Hong Kong Football Association and Capt. Neill representing the Area Sports Board.
Members of the team were introduced to the local representatives by Mr. Tom Smith. their gental manager, on deck and it was at once evident that the party was one happy family. The play. ers all looked perfectly at and said they were keenly looking forward to their first game here.

There is a possibility that W. T. '("Big Bill") Tilden may again be seen in action in Hong Kong, and this naturally recalls his last visit, when he was accompanied by Ellsworth Vines, and gave a series of exhibitions on the Hong Kong Cricket Club ground.
Of that occasion Tilden and Vines demonstrated to a fairly large number of people that they must have been very good players indeed when they were amateurs--that is when each was at his best. They did not, unfortunately, give more than a very sight Idea of what that best represented.
It was a pity for, Interesting and at times spectacular though their exhibitions were. I rather question their benefit from the point of view of having taught local players and fans much.
