A Shirley Temple more glorious than anyone has ever known and a beloved story that has enthralled millions the world over has arrived on the screen of the King's Theatre in the never-to-be-forgotten ple- ture, "Heidi."

"Heidl," оде of the world's famous stories, had to wait for its star before it could be brought to the screen, declares Darryl · F. Zanuck, and the reason is evident. Shirley was cast in the title role in response to the thousands of movie fans who besieged the studio with requests that she play the part.

The result is a picture for which she will be remembered always, Ideally cast and gloriously portray- ed, the screen play by Walter Ferris an Julien Josephson is an achieve ment in transcribing a famillar and beloved stow to the screen.

NO CHANGE IN SCHEDULE

N.Y.K. Service` To America

Tokyo, Feb. 5. With the return of the "Hiye Maru" from the United States, the N.Y.K. have announced that there will be no change in the schedule of sailings of N.Y.K. liners to Am- erican ports, because they "place impelt confidence in the Ameri- can authorities."

Narrating a thrilling experience on January 20, when the plot to blow up the "Hlye Maru" at her moorings in Seattle was discover. ed, Shinichi Amano, the captain. and Bin Nelya; the purser, of the liner, which arrived at Yokotisma yesterday evening, with a full pas- senger list, told newspapermen the full story.

Kantaro Shimoda, a steward in the second class, at about 9 o'clock on the morning of Jan. 20. sighted a drowned naked body in a lifebuoy on the port side of the liner, and immediately communicated with the water police of Seattle.

At 1.05 p.m. a messenger hurried to the mer from the Customs House, and sald confusedly "Clock- work bombs are set astern of the Iner, to go on at 1.30 p.m., so move the ship to safety."-(Reuter}
