The field Divisions continue to

be headed in strength by the Highland Division, which has the remarkable record of never having been below 9.000 men and of having exceeded in some months 98 per cent. of the numbers required. Över 90 per cent. was also obtained in 1937 by the East Lancashire, Nor- thumbrian, and West Lancashire Divisions. Only one Division, the Home Counties, is below 80 per cont., a comparatively good figure maintained in the face of the strong drive for anti-aircraft re- cruits within its area. The Division in 1937 increased its strength from 72 per cent. to 78 per cent. The London Division, also affected by anti-aircraft
