Some Impressive Performances

Another large crowd attended the morning gallops at tho Race Course on Saturday when some very impressive tinses were returned by the entries for the Annual Race: Carnival.

Annabella was sent over the li miles and its last quarter of 21.3 created a good impression. Moonlight Eve, à grifin, re- turned a last quarter of 31 for the 1 run.

SMALL SHIPS WIN

As a curtain-ralfer for the Bank- Rest match on Saturday, the game between the Navy Small Ships and Small Units was a disappointment, the slippery state of the ground. making good rugger impossible. 1.

Small Ships scored a try through Leading Seaman Bracher in the first half, this being the only score in the game.
