Chinese Trounce Civilians

In the semi-daal of the Lai Wah Cup Football competition between the Hong Kong Chinese and the Civilians which was played on the Club ground yesterday, the former side utter.y blanked the foreigners by a score of six to one. The game drew a very good crowd and the stands were packed. There was only one change in the teams; Leonard. (St. Joseph) played in the

place of A. Ward.

U.rich and Pile did good work in keeping the score down, and T. Pile was the only bright player amongst the forwards. The halves made a poor showing and did not follow the play, thereby giving thich for wards no support whatever.

H

The Chinese on the other hand showed better understanding and liad confidence, their passing being more accurate. Their forwards moved in good" formation, and the halves gave them, every support and opportunity. Toin Kyau-kon at gmal again çâme into the limelight with his belillany goal-keeping.
